Just a few months ago, rapper Snoop Dogg was announced as one of the newest coaches on the upcoming season of The Voice. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” will serve as a coach on Season 26 of the show. He’ll also be working alongside longtime coach Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Buble. The three new coaches will be replacing last year’s coaches Dan + Shay, John Legend, and Chance The Rapper.

In a recent promo for the reality singing competition show, Snoop Dogg joined the stage with his fellow coaches to perform their very first coach performance. The four singers delivered a notably joyful rendition of “Reach Out I’ll Be There” by Four Tops. You can check out the video of the performance below:

Fans are already amped about the upcoming season, as well as the promotional video.

“Okay Snoop Dogg you betta sing!” said one fan in the comments section. “Now Im back from a #TheVoice hiatus & tuning in cuz you will be a coach.”

“What great harmonies and song choice!!!” said another.

Snoop Dogg Has Been Busy This Year Outside of ‘The Voice’

Despite signing up to become one of The Voice coaches later this year, Snoop Dogg isn’t taking a pre-coaching break. In fact, he’s been quite busy lately.

Snoop recently served as one of the torchbearers during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. He will also serve as a co-host with Mike Tirico on NBC and plans to interview athletes throughout the games, as well as explore Paris in all its glory.

“Whoever had the idea to bring Snoop to the Olympics is a genius,” said one commenter on an Instagram video of Snoop’s Olympic exploits.

Snoop Dogg also just wrapped up a tour of Canada last month for his Cali To Canada Tour with Warren G and DJ Quik. Knowing Snoop, he probably has even more endeavors to take care of before he takes his seat on The Voice later this year.

The Voice will return to NBC on September 23.
