‘Are You Serious?!’ Fox’s Media Buzz Goes Off Rails In War Over Kamala Harris And Flag Burning: ‘Just Listen!’

A Fox News segment went off the rails Sunday after anchor Howard Kurtz lost control during a discussion about what Vice President Kamala Harris and what her approach to diplomacy with Israel might look like if she is elected.

On Sunday’s edition of Media Buzz , Kurtz was joined by Democratic party strategist Laura Fink and conservative commentator Ben Domenech , whose discussion devolved into a heated back-and-forth.

Fink said that although Harris was not present when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congress last week, she later met with him privately. During the discussion, Domenech cut in repeatedly and expressed his outrage at what he said were the vice president’s obvious sympathies toward left-wing radicals who set fires in Washington.

A transcript of the segment reads as follows:

FINK: But with respect to Netanyahu. You know, she chose to miss the speech. She chose to meet with him personally and to lead the messaging from the White House on these issues. It shows she’s got an embrace of the facts. She’s taken…

DOMENECH: An embrace of the facts?

FINK: Because she’s really – I’ll just finish, Ben. One. Just one statement. So, she has a command of the facts. She’s connected with voters on the Palestinian issue, working to get humanitarian aid in.

DOMENECH: Yeah, she’s connected with those voters who are burning the American flag in front of the Union Station.

[CROSSTALK]

FINK: Oh, sweetheart.

DOMENECH: I’m sorry. That’s just gross.

KURTZ: Hold it, hold it.

[CROSSTALK]

DOMENECH: That’s ridiculous, I got it. Oh, God. Are you serious? Are you serious? She… wanted to embrace the people who were burning the American flag.

KURTZ: I have to I have to qualify that because she also put out a statement…

DOMENECH: Yeah, a garbage statement!

KURTZ: Just listen! “Dangerous, hate-fueled rhetoric and unpatriotic protesters. For those who took spray paint a couple of blocks from here at Union Station.” But I got to get a break. You guys calm down.

Kurtz regained control of the conversation and was prepared to read off a statement in which Harris denounced activists who set fires during Netanyahu’s visit but he ran out of time and was forced to cut to commercial.

As the show went to a break, the host asked both Fink and Domenech to “calm down.”
