STARDOM World Rendezvous Results (7/28): Natsuko Tora, Maika, More

On July 28th, STARDOM held its second major show in Sapporo with Sapporo World Rendezvous . In the main event, Maika defended the World of Stardom Championship against Natsuko Tora.

• World of Stardom Championship Match: Natsuko Tora def. Maika (c)

World of Stardom main event fallout

In a shocking turn of events, Saya Kamitani turned on Maika to assist Oedo Tai’s Natsuko Tora to pick up the win. This marks Natsuko Tora’s first major singles championship victory in her career. She has only been an Artist of Stardom and Goddess of Stardom tag champion so far. After the match, the new champion stated that Oedo Tai would be renamed to HATE following the addition of its new members.

STARDOM will now begin preparing for the upcoming 5STAR Grand Prix tournament. It recently determined its final entrants through a series of qualifiers over the past few days.

The tournament will begin on August 10th, and the grand winner will be crowned on August 31st. STARDOM shortened the tournament duration to finish within a month following last year’s upsurge of injuries among competitors.
