A warm-up sent readings into the low 90s Sunday, as high pressure shifted into the Northeast and winds became southerly, allowing humid air to flow northward into the Ohio Valley.

A few showers and storms moved into western Ohio, but the bulk of the moisture will remain off the west, except for some light showers early Monday.

Rain chances will increase over the coming days, with several rounds of showers and storms, aided by a frontal boundary that will lift northward. Temperatures will top out in the mid- upper 80s, limited by cloud cover. Morning lows won’t drop below 70 degrees in a muggy air mass.

Temperatures will reach the low 90s midweek, with more sunshine and only isolated storms Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front will drift southeast across the region on Friday, resulting in slightly cooler and dry weather next weekend.
