WARREN COUNTY, NJ -The Warren County Farmers’ Fair kicked off its 86th season with a plenty of activities centered around the rural life of Warren County.
This annual event, offers something for everyone. From affordable food to the Hot Air Balloon Festival, which features mass launches every evening at 6:30 p.m. (weather permitting), and live music, the fair promises a week full of excitement and fun.
The opening day saw a bustling crowd, eager to participate in the fair's festivities. The day began with a Wrestling Tournament sponsored by the Warren Hills Wrestling Club, setting the tone for a week of competitive events. In the Main Arena, the Garden Tractor Pulls captivated audiences, while local bands provided a musical backdrop, showcasing their talents throughout the week.
Inside the Home & Garden Building, visitors could view the gardeners’ vegetables, herbs, fruits, and sunflowers. Both youth and adult entries of handwork, arts & crafts, and photography were on display, adding a touch of creativity and craftsmanship to the fair. The Baking Contest, held on the first Saturday, attracted numerous participants eager to showcase their culinary skills.
From antique and classic cars to custom trucks and antique John Deere or International tractors, there’s something for every age. For thrill-seekers, the Main Arena events included Truck Pulls, Tractor Pulls, and Demolition Derbies, providing adrenaline-pumping action.
The south end of the fairgrounds, dedicated to young children and tweens, featuresthe Kids' Corral where all activities were free of charge. This area ensures that the younger attendees have a memorable experience.
Running from July 27 to August 3, the Warren County Farmers’ Fair also showcases traditional entertainment, rides, fair food, livestock exhibits, arts and crafts, and more. The highlight for many is the Hot Air Balloon Festival, which offers full flights and tethered rides every evening at 6:30 p.m. and the demolition derby.
