Gymnast Simone Biles proved she's still the best in the world during the qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 28. While Biles gave the nation a scare after tweaking her calf during warmups on the floor, she continued to dominate on all four events.

Biles' husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, doesn't fly to Paris until July 29. He watched the qualifying round in the middle of the night following Day 7 of Bears' training camp in Lake Forest, Illinois.

After Biles earned a 14.600 on the floor, she moved on to the vault, where she does the most difficult skill in competition -- the Yurchenko double pike. After Biles successfully completed her vault, Owens posted a one-word message that perfectly summed her performance.

"Flawless," Owens wrote. While Biles took a large step back during the landing, considering the immense power and momentum required to complete the skill, which includes two somersaults in a piked position, it's a minuscule infraction.

Between her two vaults, the second one known as the Cheng, the 27-year-old earned a 15.300 score.

Biles went on to earn a 14.733 on beam and a 14.333 on the uneven bars. She finished the day in first place with an overall score of 59.566. Brazil's Rebeca Andrade finished in second place with 57.700 points.

Owens will be at the Bercy Arena in person for the women's team final on July 30, and the individual all-around competition on August 1. Biles and Suni Lee, the latter of whom finished with a 56.132 score, will represent the United States in the all-around finals.

The women's national team enter the finals as the squad to beat. Team USA (172.296) finished five points higher than the second place team, Italy, who finished with 166.861 points.
