The Triad’s in for a cloudy week!

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Clouds steadily increase overnight Sunday into Monday morning leaving us with mostly cloudy skies to start the work week.

Temperatures will be in the upper 60s Monday morning with highs reaching the low 80s. A few rounds of rainfall and thunderstorms will be possible on Monday, so make sure to have your rain gear with you.

Mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday with another round of showers and storms. The chance for rain is 50%. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s in the morning with highs in the mid-80s.

Mostly sunny skies return mid-week, but we’ll watch for stray pop-up showers/storms through the remainder of the week.

Temperatures are in the low 70s Wednesday morning with highs reaching the low 90s. The chance for pop-up showers is 30%.

Mostly sunny skies Thursday with morning lows in the low 70s and highs reaching the low 90s. The chance for a pop-up shower/storm is 20%.

Morning temperatures are in the low to mid-70s on Friday with highs in the mid-90s. The chance for showers is around 20%.

The trend continues into the weekend: partly cloudy skies, a 30% chance for a pop-up shower/storm, morning temperatures in the low to mid-70s and highs reaching the upper 80s and low 90s.
