The Paris 2024 Olympics is drawing in a crowd of A-listers, with big names from Hollywood and the music industry spotted among the spectators.

US gymnastics superstar Simone Biles ' comeback to the Olympic stage was a major attraction for celebrities, who gathered to watch the most decorated gymnast in history perform her routines.

Pop sensation Ariana Grande was among the famous faces present, looking effortlessly stylish in an all-white outfit and round sunglasses as she cheered on Biles.

She was accompanied by Hollywood titan Tom Cruise, who had recently made an appearance at Wimbledon, where he enjoyed the tennis action from Centre Court.

Nicole Kidman and spouse Keith Urban were also seen watching the skateboarding event, which could potentially lead to an awkward encounter for the former couple, reports the Express US .

Tom and Nicole were wedded from 1990 to 2001 and adopted two children during their marriage.

Music legend Lady Gaga, who had earlier performed at the opening ceremony on the River Seine, watched the games dressed in a sleek black ensemble from a balcony.

Also showing their support were singer John Legend and model Chrissy Teigen, who enthusiastically celebrated the USA's gold medal victory in the 4x100m freestyle relay on the first day of the swimming event at Paris La Defense Arena.

Rolling Stones lead vocalist, Sir Mick Jagger, appeared less energetic in the crowd, fresh from his sell-out concerts in America.

The 81 year old music icon took a moment to relax, sporting a hoodie and blue cap while enjoying the fencing events in Paris, which was finally seeing better weather after a spell of heavy rain.

Following her dazzling performance at the opening ceremony atop the Eiffel Tower, Celine Dion took to Instagram with a touching message for her followers: "I'm honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony."

"I'm so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance."

"All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you."

"You should all be so proud, we know how hard you have worked to be the best of the best. Stay focused, keep going, my heart is with you! ".
