(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! After seeing more sunshine across the Carolinas today, clouds will be on the increase this evening with showers and storms to return Monday. More wet weather is possible Tuesday as well before warming temperatures along with rising mugginess become the big story for the region in the second half of the week.

As for tonight and Monday, clouds are on the increase with even a few showers possible overnight before the bulk of the wet weather moves in Monday morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day with locally heavy rain possible. Due to the wet weather, temperatures will struggle to push past the 80-degree mark, but the humidity will be on the increase.

The hit-and-miss showers and storms will continue on Tuesday as well, but our temperatures will start to rise as well with highs in the mid to upper 80s. An isolated thunderstorm is possible Wednesday, but our temperatures will continue to heat up with highs moving towards the low 90s.

The second half of the week will feature a couple of pop-up afternoon showers and storms along with scorching heat and humidity for the region. Highs Thursday and Friday will be in the low to mid-90s with the humidity making it feel like it is potentially over 100 degrees. Showers and storms will likely return Friday afternoon and continue into the weekend.

In the meantime, get ready for some more wet weather in the Carolinas! Have a great week!
