Team GB look for medals in tonight’s swimming session at the Olympics after a thrilling day at Paris 2024 .

Freya Colbert and Katie Shanahan go first in the women’s 400m IM, but they’ll have their work cut out against Canada’s 17-year-old superstar Summer McIntosh, looking for her first gold in Paris after silver in the 400m freestyle .

Tom Dean was the men’s 200m freestyle gold medalist in Tokyo, but he couldn’t qualify this year in Paris, instead Matt Richards, last year’s world champion, and the silver medalist in Tokyo, Duncan Scott, look to take down the favourite in David Popivici of Romania.

Earlier today, Team GB claimed their first gold of Paris 2024 in the team eventing competition at lunchtime on day three. And there was a second gold medal to come in thrilling fashion in the men’s mountain bike, with Tom Pidcock overcoming a puncture to defend his Olympic title.

And flagbearer Tom Daley and Noah Williams settled for silver in the men’s synchronised 10m diving final on Monday morning, as they were edged out by a masterclass from the pair from China. Elsewhere today one of the biggest clashes of the Olympics took place in the tennis, where Novak Djokovic defeated his great rival Rafael Nadal 6-1 6-4 in a sensational second-round clash in the men’s singles.
