    Good at making s'mores? Indiana's state park system offering prizes in a tasty contest.

    The Indiana State Parks are hosting a contest that celebrates everything summer.

    The "Summer S'mores Contest" is a competition about summer, camping and memories made naturally. The organization wants people to create their best s'more at any state park property, take a picture and submit it.

    Entries, whether traditionally roasted or a unique piece of art, must be emailed to SPcontests@dnr.IN.gov by Aug. 31. Winners will receive a 2025 annual entrance pass, a $50 camping gift card, a $50 Inns gift card, and an Outdoor Indiana magazine subscription.

    To enter the contest, the following has to be included in the entry email:

    • Photo of the s'more
    • The s'more creator's name, phone number and address
    • Date the s'more was created and eaten
    • The Indiana State Park property where the s'more was made.
