    National Night Out events across Gaston County this August

    National Night Out is coming up and police departments around the county are preparing to host community members for the evening.

    Here’s what to expect from your local department:

    Dallas

    From 6-8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Cloninger Park 305 W. Church St. Dallas PD is planning an event involving food, vendors, games, giveaways, demos, and a fire truck spray-down for kids toward the end.

    Belmont

    From 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 6, Belmont PD is offering residents a free hotdog dinner, music, and family activities to be enjoyed at Stowe Park 24 S. Main St.

    Ranlo

    From 5-9 p.m. Aug. 6, Ranlo PD will host the community at 15 Park Dr. for a night out.

    The event will include food, music, bounce houses, face painting, and more.

    Gastonia

    From 6-8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Gastonia’s Rotary Pavilion 111 N. South St. Gastonia PD will offer the public live music, food, raffles, vehicle tours, and more.

    Kings Mountain

    Starting at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 at Patriots Park 220 S. Railroad Ave. Kings Mountain PD will host a National Night Out event featuring water slides, games, and free backpacks.

    Lowell

    The Lowell Police Department will have an obstacle course, DJ, games, and more at its National Night Out event 6-8 p.m. August 6 at Harold Rankin Park 519 Park Cir.

    Gaston County Police

    From 7-9 p.m. August 13 the Gaston County Police Department will host its National Night out event at Biggerstaff Park 1303 Dallas Cherryville Hwy in Dallas.

    The event will include live music, free food, pony rides, and more.
