In recent social media posts by a man claiming to be a former employee, MrBeast has been accused of "scamming" viewers with "illegal lotteries" and false promises in his videos .

The individual has branded the YouTube star a "fraud" and accused him of lying about the legitimacy of his videos. MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, has become known for his over-the-top competitions , with contestants promised the chance to win hundreds of thousands of dollars.

However, the individual has alleged in a YouTube video that MrBeast is not honest with fans when he promises them the chance to take part in his videos if they subscribe. "The random subscribers you see in challenges are actually never random.

"They’re almost always local to MrBeast, and often times friends and family of MrBeast employees, or just the employees themselves," the indivudal, who goes by the username DogPack404, claimed.

He then elaborated in a Reddit post, saying: "If you live outside of North Carolina and Virginia [close to where MrBeast lives] and you’re not famous or a twin, it’s a scam. Friends and family of MrBeast employees get first dibs."

The individual claimed the money available in MrBeast's videos is real, but alleged the contestants are often actors, or friends and family of MrBeast. In the YouTube video, DogPack404 also accused MrBeast of hosting "illegal lotteries".

DogPack404 claimed that in one instance, MrBeast celebrated hitting 40million subscribers by supposedly giving away cash prizes to random fans who ordered a signed shirt. "During those five hours I counted 46 illegal lotteries," the individual said.

He claimed that instead of awarding fans the cash prize, MrBeast would instead simply increase the time limit. In another allegation, the individual accused the YouTube star of faking a lie detector test when asked if he had ever faked a video.

The individual claimed he worked as an "ideation specialist" for MrBeast. He shared parts of what appears to be a non-disclosure agreement with the MrBeast logo on X, to show he had worked for the company. The Mirror US has approached MrBeast's and DogPack404's representatives for comment.
