The ongoing Wuxia Chinese drama Dashing Youth , starring Neo Hou and He Yu in the lead roles, released episode 18 on July 29, 2024. The latest installment focuses on Baili Dongjun (Neo Hou) embarking on a new journey along with Yin Luoxia (Hu Lianxin) and Mr. Lin.

In this episode, everyone gathers at the Qianjin house to witness the battle between Baili Dongjun and Mr. Xie to become the ultimate brewmaster of the city of Tianqi. From their conversation, it is quite evident that none of them has any faith in Dongjun’s ability to defeat Mr. Xie. Prominent figures, such as Prince Qing and Ruofeng, are also present among the spectators.

After Dongjun and Changfeng arrive at the venue, Mr. Xie reveals that Ruofeng will join the panel of judges.

As the competition commences, Mr. Xie presents the Qiulubai he has prepared. Its aroma enchants everyone present at the hall, and Mr. Xie receives praise from the judges for possessing such amazing brewing skills. Next, Dongjun presents his drink titled Seven Starry Nights. It perfectly captures the essence of a beauty dancing with a sword on a cold winter night. His wine stuns the judges and also helps Ruofeng unleash his hidden qi. Even Mr. Xie tears up after tasting the liquor.

Who plots an attack on Neo Hou?

Dongjun is announced as the winner. But before he can receive his prize, assassins who were hiding in the shadows hurl attacks on him at Prince Qing’s command. Dongjun, Changfeng, and Ruofeng defeat them but fail to make them reveal the name of the conspirator. However, Dongjun and Changfeng acquire the jar of Qiulubai, rescue Changfeng’s spear, and leave the hall along with Luoxia.

They are invited by Mr. Li to leave Tianqi and join him on an adventurous journey. Changfeng decides to stay back, but the others accept the proposal. Their destination is the Royal Academy Immortal’s Guidance Pavilion, which is the highest point of the city. Dongjun and Luoxia take in the true essence of the city and its inhabitants on their way. After they reach their destination, Dongjun hangs the jar from the tower as a tribute to his master.

Further in the episode, the Emperor is infuriated when he is informed that the attack on Dongjun failed. He also receives information that Mr. Li took him out of the Tianqi city. Meanwhile, Chan Ru, the head of the Shanjian Academy, applies to become the new chancellor. Although his subordinates protest, the Emperor decides to approve his claim.

What happens in Dashing Youth episode 18’s ending?

Princess Yue Qing is disappointed to find that Yue Yao has refused to return yet. She also learns that her subordinates captured Dongjun but were forced to release him. Meanwhile, Ye Yun reunites with his master, who refuses to teach him the demon deity sword technique. On the other hand, Dongjun’s carriage is stopped by a masked assassin. Having no other choice, Dongjun challenges him to a duel.
