NBA basketball stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry helped lead Team USA to a 110-84 victory over Team Serbia on July 28 in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following the United States' win, both players were seen in the tunnel sharing a conversation.

While the details of the conversation are unknown, fans speculated that James and Curry were discussing a potential NBA team-up.

NBA fans spread their theory online, speaking on the Los Angeles Lakers forward and Golden State Warriors guard somehow playing in the NBA together before they retire.

"These two might play together on the same team," said one fan.

"Yeah steph gonna be a laker in 26-27, cant see him extending in golden state anymore," said another fan.

"Well Lebron and KD can join the Warriors for less money if they want to join Stephen Curry. hmm #NBA ," commented another.

The picture of their postgame chat received over 3.7k likes and 61k views in less than 24 hours.

James recently signed an extension with the Lakers, agreeing to a two-year, $104 million contract that includes a player option after the 2025-26 season.

Curry has two years left on his contract with the Warriors, which he signed in 2021. The four-time NBA Champion agreed to a four-year, $215 million deal .

With the two stars' ages —James at 39 and Curry at 36—their team-up in the NBA seems like a pipe dream for fans. Both players are nearing the end of their careers and have expressed interest in staying put with their current teams.

Despite the major improbability, fans will still be able to watch the two compete in the Olympic Games side-by-side.

Team USA will return on the hardwood on July 31 at 3 p.m. ET against South Sudan.
