The Sussex Kids Are Prince Harry’s ‘Perfect Way Back’ to Royal Life

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children , Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, could be the couple’s “way back” to royal life. A commentator called it the “perfect way” to get a foot in the royal door after relocating to California in 2020. However, it’d have to be handled very “delicately.”

Archie and Lili labeled Harry’s ‘perfect way back’ to royal life

Discussing a potential return to royal life for Harry on GB News , commentator Kinsey Schofield described Archie and Lili as the way to do it.

“If Harry did want a way back in,” she said, “he could use the excuse that despite his personal beef with King Charles, he wants his children to have a relationship with their grandfather. It would be the perfect way back, wouldn’t it?”

According to previous reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex agree with King Charles III that Archie and Lili should have a “stronger bond” with their royal relatives . Furthermore, Harry is believed to have considered the idea of the Sussex kids—specifically Archie— bringing the family back together .

The 39-year-old is, per Closer, eager to “reconnect” with his relatives. But not for a weekend. Rather, Harry, they claimed, wants to go on a month-long solo trip to England. “He’s convinced that if he spends a longer period of time there, he’ll have a better chance to reconnect with his family,” a source said (via Express ).

“Harry is very anxious to go home and see his dad, [and] catch up with his friends for his birthday in September. And also pay a visit to his aunt, Princess Anne,” they added.

Harry has to be ‘matter-of-fact’ about a potential future U.K. visit with Archie and Lili

Archie and Lili may head to the U.K. for the Invictus Games. The city of Birmingham, England, will host in 2027. Were they to attend, Harry and Meghan would have to “delicately” navigate their children’s presence, PR expert Renae Smith told Express .

“It is crucial to handle this situation delicately. There is a risk that some might perceive this as ‘using’ the children to mend his relationship with the royal family.” This could, in turn, “attract negative attention.”

“It’s important for the couple to avoid exaggerating or portraying themselves as martyrs for attending or bringing their children. They should be matter-of-fact about their attendance and aim to avoid any conflict,” she added. “Let’s see if this is possible for them!”

“To mitigate potential backlash,” she suggested they make sure the “focus remains on the event and not on family dynamics. Again, a challenge I expect for them!”

“By keeping the spotlight on the cause and maintaining a low-key presence, they can navigate the situation effectively,” Smith concluded.

Although they haven’t seen their paternal grandfather, King Charles III, in person since the summer of 2022 (the Sussex family went to England for Platinum Jubilee Weekend), they keep in touch. How? Through video calls.

However, an insider previously told the Mirror that the king “ doesn’t want a FaceTime relationship ” with his California-based grandkids.

“He wants to know them. And be involved with their lives while they are still young enough to be able to learn from his wisdom,” she continued. “His cancer has made it all the more poignant to him as he knows that he won’t be around forever.”
