The Boys Getting Official Prequel Series ‘Vought Rising’ With Soldier Boy and Stormfront

Following the success of Gen V , The Boys' universe is about to expand even more, as we're getting another spinoff series starring some franchise favorites. Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Vought Rising is a new series set in the 1950s, focused on two primary antagonists from The Boys – Soldier Boy and Stormfront/Liberty.

Of course, Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will reprise the roles of the anti-heroes in the series. Previously, both characters served as the supporting characters in the second and third seasons of The Boys' respectively . Ackles and Cash will also serve as producers on the new series.

“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys," said executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grellong.

"It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

Soldier Boy and Stormfront have never interacted on-screen together, though the former did mention the other in a passing remark in "Herogasm", one of the most shocking episodes from The Boys . Soldier Boy will return in The Boys season 5, as teased in the final post-credits scene of the last episode.

The Boys season 5 will premiere on Prime Video in 2026 as revealed by Karl Urban ,  while Vought Rising sits without a release date.
