Lainey Wilson To Release “Good Horses” Featuring Miranda Lambert This Friday

A powerhouse pair. Today, Lainey Wilson announced that she's putting out the next song from her forthcoming Whirlwind album "Good Horses" this Friday, August 2nd, which features fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert . They previously performed the song together when Lainey headlined two nights in Nashville about a month or so ago, and over the weekend, she teased a little bit of what sounds like the unreleased studio version that's about to drop. It's layered over video from the live performance, but you can tell by the difference in sound quality that it's a professional studio recording, as the ladies sing about wanting to be in a relationship where they can also be free, because "good horses come home": "If you wanna love me you don't need a rope You just need to know I don't need a compass I don't need a saddle Let go of the reigns baby let me unravel If you wanna love me you don't need a rope You just need to know Good horses come home" It has a unique but catchy melody, and Lainey says she "can't wait" for fans to get to hear the full song on the new record: "Can’t wait to share this one with y’all." Whirlwind is due out everywhere next month, on August 23rd, and I think this will be a fan-favorite and quick hit should it ever find its way to country radio.
