Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor was found dead at her home in London last year, leading to questions about the circumstances surrounding her death. Reports stated that she suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma, which, coupled with a lower respiratory tract infection, led to her passing.

Before the tragic incident, Sinead had a few outbursts on social media about overdosing on drugs amid rumors of her attempting suicide.

She suffered from mental health issues like bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and borderline personality disorder and did not shy away from speaking up about them. Sinéad used her platform to advocate for people like herself, urging loved ones to be more accommodating of those suffering from disorders.

During the singer’s death anniversary, Dublin Wax Museum came under fire for erecting a wax figure of Sinéad that did not look like her, hence they removed the sculpture and promised to replace it with a more befitting one. Sinéad’s brother, John O’Connor, publicly criticized the supposed art, calling it “something between a mannequin and something out of the Thunderbirds.”

Sinéad is survived by three children, Jake, Roisin, and Yeshua, all of whom she had from different fathers. Roisin followed in her footsteps as a musician, while Yeshua is more interested in college, although he sings excellently and plays the piano.
