Breakfast deal: Perkins offers classic meal for under $5

Perkins restaurants are starting the day off with deals — a classic breakfast for under $5.

Perkins American Food Co. , formerly known as Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, has launched a value breakfast offering.

Its new Great American Trio lets diners choose from meals featuring buttermilk pancakes, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, and eggs prepared to order. They cost $4.99-$6.99.

Great American Trio breakfast options are:

• 5 Under $5: Two buttermilk pancakes, two Applewood smoked bacon strips, and one egg at $4.99.
• 6 Under $6: Two buttermilk pancakes, two Applewood smoked bacon strips, and two eggs at $5.99.
• 7 Under $7: Three buttermilk pancakes, two Applewood smoked bacon strips, and two eggs at $6.99.

Perkins serves breakfast all day, seven days a week. Customers can order in-restaurant or on the Perkins website .
