Following a shocking heel turn in Sapporo, Saya Kamitani had some tough words for her former friend Utami Hayashishita in a recent interview.

As previously reported , Saya Kamitani joined HATE, formerly known as Oedo Tai, to cost Maika the World of Stardom Championship. “I came here today to make you [Maika] cry. Goodbye forever,” she said to her, referencing the fan incident Saya suffered a few weeks back.

Saya Kamitani recently spoke with Tokyo Sports to explain her actions. In doing so, she explicitly mentioned that Utami Hayashishita’s departure from STARDOM played a major role in her decision to abandon the now defunct Queen’s Quest unit. She said that “There is no need for a unit created by someone who’s no longer with us. Utami Hayashishita betrayed Stardom and abandoned me. This was only natural.”

Utami Hayashishita, the Queen’s Quest leader who preceded Saya Kamitani, was one of four women who left STARDOM back in March alongside Rossy Ogawa. Since then, she has been an active competitor for Ogawa’s new Marigold promotion. She and Saya have quite the history as former Goddess of Stardom Champions. The two have also shared the ring as opponents on multiple occasions. However, it is clear that Saya Kamitani now has no love lost for her former ally.

Since her actions, Saya has also posted an update on her official Twitter account claiming that the end of Queen’s Quest is merely a new beginning for her new persona.
