Birds finds the funniest things to claim as their own. It might be a toy, or another bird, but whatever it is, it's their favorite, and they'll tell the world about it. For Yums the Cockatiel, a microfiber cloth is the greatest item on earth and he's not afraid to let it be known.

In a funny TikTok video posted by @yumyumthetiel , Yums speaks his mind on the special cloth and it's sweet to watch. Take a look below!

"Yums may have been upset for a minute after i threw it in the laundry basket…" the caption says. The 10-second clip shows YumYum's true feelings for the microfiber cloth saying, "baby bird, baby bird," on repeat. He even looks to Mom after speaking so she knows that's his cloth and he loves it so much.

Her thinking the cloth is a baby bird cannot get any cuter, and of the charismatic bird's 1.4 million followers, many agreed that he is too precious for words.

"It’s 2am and I'm crying over a Cockatiel calling its microfiber cloth a baby bird. Birds are so cute," one person commented. "Emotional support cloth," another joked. "Yums has spoken. That cloth is hereby now a baby bird," another added.

Yums is a man of many talents, but his affection for this cloth surpasses them all.

    Cockatiels Are Extremely Intelligent Birds

Yums is the perfect example of how funny, entertaining, and smart Cockatiels can be. Though there are pros and cons to owning any bird, Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics says because of this, Cockatiels make a great first pet . They're social and enjoy spending time with their humans, even recognizing their voices and responding to them in their own special communication.

As far as intelligence, Cockatiels can easily be taught to talk and do tricks or "dance" to the beat of a song. To get them to do it on demand, offer them treats after each time they perform the behavior and they'll learn to associate the behavior with the reward. Pretty soon, they'll be natural stars!

Like Yums, these birds dance and perform to their heart's content, providing hours of fun for the whole family. Cockatiels have giant personalities in their tiny bodies, and they're ready and willing to do what's asked of them, just like Yums.

Yums' affinity for his cloth is precious, so we hope he got his "baby bird" back after filming the video!
