In a TikTok posted by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attall, the Chromatica artist shook hands with the government official and introduced her longtime Michael boyfriend as her “fiancé.” Just one word made the internet freak out. In addition to that news, Lady Gaga gave her fans a glimpse of new music in France when she played a clip of it outside her French hotel. “I’m so deeply touched by French fans this week outside the hotel, I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight – with a few seconds of #LG7,” she wrote on Instagram.

Is Lady Gaga engaged?

It seems so! Representatives for the popstar haven’t responded to publications like Billboard but the congratulations are in order.

Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky were first linked in February 2020 after rumors swirled that they were casually dating. They spent the early aughts of the COVID-19 pandemic living together. A source told People that they bonded over their “focus” on charity. “They get takeout from local restaurants or hang out with friends at home,” the source said. “When they are together, it’s obvious that Gaga is crazy about him. She always giggles and touches him. They are very affectionate and have the best chemistry.”

A source who spoke to People in November 2021 revealed at the time that while they “don’t seem rushed about getting engaged,” they do “almost act like a married couple already.”

“Michael is very sweet and supportive,” the source added at the time. “He is hardworking as well, so he appreciates her focus. They are a great team.” As Gaga put it herself in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter , “My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life.”

However, days before the news dropped, sources close to Gaga dished that they prefer her to be with her ex Taylor Kinney. “He was a much bigger softie, and he certainly didn’t insert himself into matters involving her career,” a source told In Touch Weekly adding that the actor liked “to accompany her everywhere she goes” for work. The sources said that Gaga “still loved” the 42-year-old actor during her early dating days with Polansky in 2020. “She honestly still seems hung up on Taylor — he had a Prince Charming vibe,” they continued. “She hasn’t been the same since, and I’ve never known her to be as fragile as she is with Michael.”
