The View fans fuming over Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin's unexplained absence from show

The View panel looked a bit empty with two people missing.

On the Monday, July 29 episode of The View, viewers at home saw Whoopi Goldberg , Sarah Haines, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin walking to the iconic The View table and noticed that Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin were missing.

Whoopi immediately addressed the situation and told the audience members and people at home to not worry. Sunny might not have appeared live on the show but she did later on. Whoopi said some people couldn't make it to the live taping so they pre-recorded certain segment.

Whoopi said: "First of all, do not get freaked out. Sunny is not here today but she appears later in the show because we were able to tape some things with folks who couldn't come. You'll see her in the show but she's not here at the show. Right? Okay."

Viewers at home were upset to see that neither Sunny or Joy were at the show. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "No Sunny and No Joy? Meh. #TheView," with a gif of Chrissy Teigen at the Golden Globes looking disappointed. Another person wrote: "No Sunny?! #TheView." A third person wrote: "No Sunny or Joy today ….. wow #TheView." A fourth wrote: "Joy's out today #theview."

Whoopi, the rest of the hosts and the audience clapped and moved on to the Hot Topics segment. Whoopi introduced the topic telling the crowd that Kamala wants people to recognize that there is still a lot of work ahead and to not get "complicit." Sarah and Ana quickly corrected Whoopi and said "complacent." Whoopi was confused and asked what she had said instead. Sarah said "don't get safe, don't settle," while complicit meant to go along with it. Whoopi joked and said: "Maybe it's not just Joe," throwing a jab at the President of the United States while poking fun at herself.

The table got hot after they showed a clip of former president Donald Trump telling Christians to go on and vote and that they won't have to anymore vote if he wins.
