Legendary Picture Of Stephen Curry: Everyone Is Looking At The Ball Except One Person

Stephen Curry made his long-awaited Olympic debut on Sunday against Serbia and unsurprisingly delivered a memorable moment in it. In the final seconds of the contest, Curry hit his trademark no-look three-pointer, and with that, a new legendary picture was created.

Here is that shot and you can see Curry walk away and celebrate before the ball goes in.

We have seen some players like Nick Young make a fool of themselves as the shot doesn't go in after they turn away, but that's never happened with Curry. The moment the two-time MVP looks away and starts running back on defense, you know it's going in.

Curry is the greatest shooter we have ever seen and, at this point, no one else is even in the same stratosphere as him. The 10-time All-Star is also the NBA's all-time leader in threes made with 3,747 and I don't think anyone will ever manage to surpass him.

Getting back to this game against Serbia, Curry finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. The 36-year-old went 4-8 from the field and 3-7 from beyond the arc as Team USA won 110-84. It was a statement win from the pre-tournament favorites as they look to win a fifth straight gold medal at the Olympics.

Stephen Curry Was Nervous Before His Olympics Debut

It isn't often that Curry feels nervous before a game, having been involved in so many high-stakes contests in his storied career. He has made six trips to the NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors and has dazzled on the biggest stage as well. Despite all of that, Curry admitted he was nervous before his Olympic debut.

“I think I had a lot of nerves pre-game up until the national anthem. It’s a really cool environment in there and obviously it was sold out to the nosebleeds and the energy was great. Putting on this jersey at this level like you said I’ve been looking forward to it for a very long time and I’m just enjoying the moment so that’s why you see me so animated from the open ceremonies to tonight when I’m on the bench like I’m loving it so I want to have something to show for it at the end too.”

By the time the game was coming to an end, the nervousness was certainly gone, as evidenced by the last shot. I am also certain, that Curry will have something to show for his efforts by the time the Paris Olympics end, a gold medal. It's the only thing missing from his incredible resume and I don't see a scenario where Team USA doesn't emerge victorious at the end.

Following this convincing victory against Serbia, they will take on South Sudan next on July 31. The South Sudanese gave Team USA an almighty scare when they faced off in an exhibition game earlier this month, as it took some heroics from LeBron James to sneak away with a 101-100 win. I expect a more convincing showing from the U.S. in this second meeting and perhaps we might just witness a Curry masterclass.
