Dark Side of the Ring is a highly acclaimed professional wrestling documentary series that delves into the industry's darker aspects. To date, it has released five seasons. Reports are now surfacing that production for Season 6 has commenced, with the VICE TV crew actively filming interviews and creating new content.

    Rumored Topics Covered

That's not all the news that has been revealed. There have been a few topics that are rumored to be covered on the show. This is not 100% confirmed as last season the same rumors were that Kurt Angle and Mike Awesome was going to be covered, but that did not happen. The three topics rumored to be covered for Season 6 are listed below.

    Dennis Corraluzzo

This episode, if covered, will likely be a lighter one, similar to what "Black Saturday" was last season. It would likely ignore Vince McMahon's resignation in disgrace due to his harassment and trafficking allegations. Vince and John Laurenitis better get their divorce lawyers ready for the mess they will be entering legally.

For those unaware, Dennis Corraluzzo was a former promoter and president of the NWA, best known for being outmaneuvered and screwed by Paul Heyman and Todd Gordon. This story will delve into the intricacies of wrestling politics. Shane Douglas must be interviewed since he famously discarded the NWA title upon winning it, leading to the creation of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). Corrraluzzo passed away in 2001 due to a brain hemorrhage, so his perspective will be absent from the show.

    Ludvig Borga

Ludvig Borga, whose real name was Tony Halme, was a multifaceted figure: a professional wrestler, UFC fighter, and politician in the Finnish Parliament. Borga made a name for himself as a heel in the WWF during the 1993-94 period, notably ending WWE superstar Tatanka's undefeated streak. Vince McMahon had high hopes for Borga, but unfortunately, his injuries hindered his career.

There are the injuries he had, and the fact that he was openly racist, homophobic, and struggled with numerous drug addictions. His books are also a source of contention, containing many offensive comments. His political career was marred by corruption and tumultuous events.

Ludvig Borgia died on January 8th, 2010, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his body was not discovered for several days.

Ludvig Borgia is a textbook example of Dark Side of the Ring. The documentary could get a 2-part episode on Borgia as a whole with how many controversial events that happened in his life.

    Billy Jack Haynes

Some people aren't familiar with Billy Jack Haynes' professional wrestling career, although he competed in WWE at WrestleMania 3 against Hercules. Earlier this year, Haynes was arrested for the murder of his wife following a two-hour standoff with the police. His wife, who was 85 years old and battling dementia at the time, sadly passed away. It's a tragic situation, and it seems likely that Haynes will spend the remainder of his life in prison, depending on the outcome of the trial. It would be a really interesting and sad episode if the show covered this.

Other Topics the Show Should Cover

This has been covered in detail in a previous piece on the website , but there are still plenty of episodes the show can do. Out of the bunch, the top three topics that would be most interesting to cover are, "Sweet and Sour" Larry Sweeney, The JBL Bullying Scandals, and Ashley Massaro. Only time will tell what the entire topic list is for Season 6, but no matter what it will be exciting to see more Dark Side of the Ring episodes be made.
