So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. 10 New Songs Out Today

Killer Mike recently released his emotional new single “HUMBLE ME,” on which he addresses his arrest at the Grammy Awards ceremony in February, and he says that song came as part of a new creative burst that also resulted in a new 10-song project Songs For Sinners & Saints, coming this Friday (8/2) under the name Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival, the latter being the gospel group that has been backing him on tour. He considers it an epilogue to the MICHAEL era and says, “I had a year to live with MICHAEL, and I realized I had more I wanted to do with this sound before moving on.”

Having just wrapped up their tour with A Day To Remember and The Story So Far (and Scowl, Militarie Gun and Pain of Truth) last night (7/28), Worcester easycore vets Four Year Strong have now announced a headlining tour in support of their upcoming album Analysis Paralysis (due 8/9 via Pure Noise), and they’re taking out a pretty cool support lineup: Nashville emo staples Free Throw, Wilkes-Barre melodic hardcore torch-carriers One Step Closer, and LA punks Death Lens. Shows run through the fall, and tickets go on sale Friday, August 2 at 10 AM local time, with various presales starting Tuesday, July 30 at 10 AM local.

Yasmin Williams has announced that she’ll follow 2021’s excellent Urban Driftwood with a new album, Acadia, on October 4 via Nonesuch (pre-order). She says:. I’m so proud to finally present Acadia to y’all. It’s my most sonically expansive work to date and features an array of accomplished musicians and friends including Immanuel Wilkins on saxophone, Aoife O’Donovan and Darlingside on vocals, Marcus Gilmore on drums, Kaki King and William Tyler on guitar, Dom Flemons on bones, and more artists who played phenomenally. I played several instruments on the album, including, but not limited to, many kinds of guitars, calabash drum, kora, and banjo. The sonic world of the album ranges from classically minded folk music to full rock with jazz influences and everything in between.

With over 1 billion streams across their catalog, UK alt-rock trio bôa is ready for their triumphant return with Whiplash, their first new album in over twenty years.
