The new song of the summer just dropped and it features an unexpected collaboration between Nick Jonas , Anchorman actor Will Ferrell and talk show host Jimmy Fallon all singing about the height of summer fashion: jorts.

Jorts, a sweet and simple portmanteau for jean shorts, are a common choice of clothing when the heat of the long summer days kicks in, offering one a chance to cool down in style. That comfort was the subject of a hilarious new song recently featured on The Tonight Show , which saw Fallon, Ferrell and Jonas coming together to sing the praises of the superior short.

The video featured all kinds of '80s and '90s inspired fashion to match the jorts, including colorful patterned polos tucked into the high-waisted shorts, paired with tube socks and sneakers as well as a glorious blond mullet with matching soul patch. Throughout the track, Fallon and Ferrell detailed all they ways they wear the their "jort shorts," from playing "all sorts of racket sports ... on the court" to giving "book reports" because "I'm smort."

Jonas, dressed like his normal self , finally appears to ask if he can also wear jorts before breaking into a new verse (and new fit) about how he "[wears] my jorts every day of the week, they start at my hips and they end at my knees. And if you see me, you know that I'm in 'em, they're jorts and they're short and they're totally denim."

Amazed and confounded, Ferrell and Fallon have to take a moment to "deliberate" if Jonas can join their group despite him being "incredible," with the Step Brothers star emphatically expressing they'd be "storpid nort to" let him be one of their crew.
