The 2024 WaterStone Bank Air & Water Show took to the skies over Milwaukee's lakefront last weekend, featuring performances from loud and impressive aircraft and watercraft.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in their F-16 Fighting Falcons headlined the show after a five-year hiatus. The show also included performances from the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, the Air Force's KC-46 Pegasus air-refueling tanker (which may soon come to Milwaukee's 128th Air Refueling Wing ) and Madison's 115th Fighter Wing's F-35 Lightning II . The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in their F-16 Fighting Falcons headlined the show after a five-year hiatus.
This year, the show fell on a jam-packed weekend for Milwaukee that included the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival , German Fest, Milwaukee Brewfest and multiple concerts on the Summerfest grounds.

The Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori, or "Tricolor Arrows," aerobatic team made its first appearance at the Air & Water Show. The fleet uses red, white and green smoke — the colors of the Italian flag — throughout its performance.
