'Good Girl' Cockatoo Takes Trip to Walmart and Behaves Better Than Most Kids

As a mom, I will be the first to admit that running errands can be really stressful. Hitting the Starbucks drive thru with my dog in the passenger seat? Easy. She enjoys the car ride, I get coffee, she gets a Pup Cup, and everyone is happy — no whining whatsoever. If I run the same errand with my four year old daughter, it's absolutely a toss up. It could either be a lot of fun and a great way to get out of the house... or a total nightmare, depending on how everyone's moods are going.

After watching this TikTok video, though, it's exceeding clear that maybe instead of having a child, I should have just had a bird. This cockatoo isn't just adorable, but she's also better behaved than my kid could ever dream of being during a grocery trip.

This video from @porschathecockatoo on TikTok that was shared on Monday, July 22 shows a sweet Cockatoo named Porscha behaving so nicely while on a Walmart run.

This sweetheart is just perched on the cart (and wearing a tiny, bird-sized collar and leash, as if she wasn't adorable enough all on her own). Zero concerns, zero noise, and so well behaved. My kid could never!

The comments are filled with compliments about how well behaved Porscha is. Some people said she was simply stunned into silent about the prices, thanks to how bad inflation has been recently (same). But another person wrote, "OMG I don't think I've ever seen such a well behaved calm Cockatoo."

While Porscha is new to Walmart, she's had some practice with shopping — the other videos on their account prove that!

    Are Birds Allowed in Walmart?

I know I'm not the only one who immediately wondered if birds were allowed in Walmart after watching this video — only because if they are, I need to start going to Walmart more often in hopes of catching something like this in action!

According to Walmart's official policy : "Walmart welcomes service animals as defined by the ADA in our stores, and we recognize the important role they play in many of our customers’ lives. We do not allow pets in our stores."

No word on whether or not Porscha is a service animal — and of course, at your own local Walmart store, it's totally possible you'd get turned away — but according to what the OP wrote in the comments, the employees there were happy to see her.

"All the employees were more than excited to see her!" they wrote.

It's no wonder why — who wouldn't be thrilled to see this little lady while at work? She probably made their day!
