Jennifer Garner has long made her love of animals known. Not only is she an equal opportunity fan of all things in nature, but she's also a mom to a gaggle of pets of her own, including both cats and dogs (and if you follow her on Instagram, you're constantly treated with plenty of photos and videos of them). So maybe we shouldn't be surprised that her new hobby is animal related, even if it's a bit unexpected!

Jennifer has officially revealed that she has become a bird watcher in recent weeks, and not only is she so excited about it, but she's sharing images of the birds she's spotted with the world so the rest of us can enjoy them, too.

In a video Jennifer shared on Instagram, she opened up about her new hobby with so much enthusiasm that I personally may take up bird watching after seeing this video.

"I just became a birder, and it turns out that my yard has the prettiest birds in all of California," she says. "So I have a little modeling agency for Dark Eyed Junko and Oak Titmouse and California Towhee."

"I don't know what to tell you. They're gorgeous. Drop dead!" she adds.

Then, she shared footage from her bird camera (appropriately set to RuPaul's "Supermodel (You Better Work)" of course), and it's impossible not to agree with her. These are some seriously good looking birds — and somehow, they seem to know just how to pose for the camera!

That tiny bird at the end of the video is definitely my favorite. So much sass in such a small bird! It's no wonder that Jennifer has easily become obsessed with birding.

How to Become a Bird Watcher

If this video has influenced you to get into bird watching, don't worry — you're not alone, judging by the comments from people who are inspired to take up the hobby after seeing how much fun it can be.

    But where do you start?

According to Audubon New York, your backyard is a great place for it — especially if you are willing to place some bird feeders , which will bring you new feathered friends to watch. Adding a bird bath can help even more.

From there, they recommend grabbing some binoculars so you can see the birds up close without scaring them away, along with a bird book, which can help you identify the birds you're seeing (and of course, there are many online resources for this, too).

And don't forget to start your life list, which is what birders call the list of all of the birds they've seen.

Happy bird watching! Maybe you'll be able to start your own bird modeling agency before long, too.
