A series of atmospheric disturbances will bring a couple of chances for severe thunderstorms over the next two days. To be clear from the get-go, neither set up looks nearly as volatile as last week’s tornado and severe weather event, but there will still likely be some scattered intense storms to contend with.

Saturday was a hot and humid day, but some showers and storms cooled many locations back down during the afternoon or evening. Even before the cooling rain arrived, temperatures only warmed into the upper 80s and low 90s. Not bad for late July. While showers lingered into the evening, they fade away overnight. Meanwhile, the sky remains partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the low to mid 70s.
