Rebeca Andrade Drops Huge News About Simone Biles' Gymnastics Future

Simone Biles' gymnastics future is under the microscope as she competes in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The 27-year-old American gymnast has not publicly stated her intentions to retire, but rumors have been swirling for quite some time now.

Biles' biggest competitor, Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade, recently provided some massive insight into Biles' future plans.

Andrade says Biles is done at the conclusion of the Paris Olympics. The Brazilian superstar shared this information with The Washington Post during a recent exclusive interview.

"Andrade wants to win. But mostly, she said, she wants to keep competing against Biles. Biles has not said publicly whether she will retire after this year’s games. But in a private conversation, Andrade said, Biles confided that Paris would be her final competition."

“I said, ‘No, girl, don’t do this,’” Andrade said.

Biles is obviously still capable of competing at the highest level. Despite suffering an injury to her calf during a floor routine warmup on Sunday, she finished with the No. 1 overall score in qualifying. Andrade finished just behind Biles in second.

“I think with everything I’ve been through, I want to push the limits, I want to see how far I can go,” Biles said in an interview with The Associated Press earlier this month. “I want to see what I’m still capable of so once I step away from this sport, I can truly be happy with my career and say I gave it my all.”

Biles, Andrade and the rest of the field will participate in the women's team final on Tuesday.
