Actress, singer, and comedian Erica Ash has passed away at age 46. She was most known for her role as Mary Charles “M-Chuck” Calloway on Survivor’s Remorse , Bridgette Hart on Real Husbands Of Hollywood, and more.

The news was confirmed by editor and host Roland S. Martin, who posted a tribute to Ash on Instagram. “It saddens me to confirm that our beloved sister @TheEricaAsh is now an ancestor. She was 46. Erica was an amazing talented, funny, and serious actress,” he wrote. “I adored her.”

He also noted that Ash would have been heavily involved in supporting VP Kamala Harris in her upcoming 2024 presidential selection. “She was serious about politics and would have been one of @KamalaHarris biggest supporters. Pray for her family,” Martin concluded.

A cause of death has not been revealed.

Ash got her start in the entertainment industry after she landed multiple job opportunities on Broadway, including The Lion King. During that time, she was also a cast member on The Big Gay Sketch Show for two seasons. In 2008, she joined MadTV, a popular sketch comedy show, where she remained on the cast through the show’s 14th and final season on FOX.

Throughout her lengthy career, the Emory University alum would secure roles in a plethora of movies that showed off her range, such as Scary Movie 5 (2013), Jean of the Joneses (2016), Uncle Drew (2018) , Outlaw Johnny Black (2023), and many more.
