“House Cats Will Steal Your Soul” – The Buffalo Bills Have A Real-Life, No-Shoes-Wearing “Tarzan” On Their Team

The Buffalo Bills have a real-life Tarzan on their team.

That’s at least what Mack Hollins’ teammates would tell you, if you were to ask them. The talented and quirky wide receiver was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2017, and has had mildly successful stints with the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, and most recently with the Atlanta Falcons.

He’s never been a team’s number one option, but through his years in the NFL, he’s always been a reliable and productive deep threat. Most NFL fans probably only knew him as a frustrating fantasy football player, who either got them everything or nothing at all. That is until this special report from Buffalo Plus gave us more insight into how Hollins operates.

After being acquired by the Buffalo Bills this offseason, Mack has quickly become a favorite amongst his teammates. His work ethic and Tarzan-like tendencies has made him very popular in the locker room, and Hollins embraces his own zaniness:

“Every team I’ve been on, they’ve asked, ‘Who’s the weirdest guy?’ and they all say Mack.”

So what makes Mack Hollins a real-life Tarzan? Well, besides his appearance, the wide out also likes to live a “wild man” lifestyle – to a certain extent. One of those preferences is not wearing shoes (besides when he has to wear cleats), or as he so aptly refers to them as “foot prisons.”

To Hollins, shoes are more of a tool than anything else, and provided this explanation:

“I think shoes are a tool. And people have made them a part of their body. I wouldn’t walk around with a hammer just because I might need a hammer sometimes.”
