    Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers to undergo two-week schedule change

    BOTH The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers have been put on a brief hiatus.

    The popular late-night talk shows will be on hold over the next two weeks as NBC airs coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games .

    The Tonight Show , which stars host Jimmy , 49, is preempted starting Monday, July 29.

    Late Night with Seth Meyers was preempted starting on Friday.

    Most regular NBC programming will not air during the Olympics, which will run on the network through August 11.

    NBC will not air shows such as Today with Hoda and Jenna, NBC News Daily, Dateline , and Daily Blast Live.

    Other programs like Colorado and Company, Daily Blast Live, and Meet the Press will have different schedules over the next two weeks.

    Some shows, including Dateline and Colorado and Company, will be airing episodes on KTVD instead.

    Today will continue to air from 7 to 8 am EST, which will be followed by daytime Olympics coverage.

    Nightly News With Lester Holt will also continue airing during the Olympics, showing at 5:30 pm on weeknights and 6 pm on Saturdays.

    JIMMY X OLYMPICS

    While the late-night hosts may be leaving their hosting seats for a little while, Jimmy will be snagging one at the Olympics .

    The TV personality is set to host the closing ceremony with Sunday Night Football broadcaster Mike Tirico .

    Also joining them will be Terry Gannon, two-time figure skating Olympian Johnny Weir, and 1998 gold medal figure skater Tara Lipinski.

    The closing ceremony will be held on August 11 at France’s national stadium and aired on NBC.

    Jimmy’s Olympic debut as a commentator comes ten years after he debuted on The Tonight Show during the 2014 Olympics.

    The longtime host was surprised with the honor on March 12 as Mike, who is hosting his fourth Olympic opening ceremony this year, appeared on the show with Payton Manning and Kelly Clarkson.

    After the three announced they would be hosting this year’s opening ceremony, Mike invited Jimmy to join him for the closing.

    “Is this real? I’m in! I’m going to do it!” Jimmy exclaimed.

    “It’s real. It’s happening. I’m headed to Paris. I’m going to co-host the Olympics Closing Ceremony this summer,” he added.

    The modern Olympic games originated in Paris 130 years ago, and 2024 marks the third time the city has hosted.

    The France capital now ties the record for most Summer Olympics hosted with London, England.
