Queen Camilla favored a floral display for her recent outing for the QIPCO King George Day at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday. The queen consort fashioned a new look for the occasion, spotlighting a designer that represents a departure from her usual go-to pieces.

For the daytime event, Queen Camilla married vibrant florals with a classic silhouette. The queen consort styled a cotton shirtdress with a sharp collar and button details at the neckline, long sleeves, a delicate belted waist and pleated skirt by Suzannah London. The dress featured a pattern of blue Irises courtesy of artist Rachel Levy.

Queen Camilla favored accessories and essential pieces in a neutral tone to keep the dress as the centerpiece of her ensemble. The queen consort wore a pair of Eliot Zed pumps in a shade of textured sand. She also wore a hat in a similar shade.

As for her jewelry, Queen Camilla wore pieces courtesy of two of her favorite brands. The Queen consort wore pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels and Kiki McDonough.

Though the queen consort often favors similar silhouettes, she’s rarely averse to experimenting with new patterns. Florals are a ubiquitous pattern and style piece when it comes to summertime. Over the course of the last several weeks, Queen Camilla has fashioned several floral pieces.

While attending Holyrood Week events in Scotland on July 2, Queen Camilla fashioned two floral looks courtesy of one of her go-to designers, Fiona Clare. While hosting volunteers and guests at Clarence House for the National Literacy Trust charity’s 30th anniversary , Queen Camilla wore another Fiona Clare midi dress with a delicate floral pattern.

Designs feature traditional silhouettes with a vibrant use of florals and feminine designs.
