Two gymnasts who train at a Manatee County gym are coming back from the 2024 Paris Olympics with a medal in tow.

Team USA won the bronze medal in the men’s team gymnastics final on Monday.

Brody Malone and Stephen Nedoroscik were two of Team USA’s five competitors that will bring back a team bronze, the country’s first medal in men’s team gymnastics since Beijing 16 years ago.

The pair train at Evo Gymnastics in southern Manatee County. Malone is a Georgia native and Nedoroscik is a Massachusetts native. The gym held a public watch party for the men’s final Monday.

Malone competed in all the events, while Nedoroscik was used as a pommel horse specialist. His pommel horse routine was the last one for Team USA on Monday.

Japan claimed the gold medal with 259.594 points. China won the silver medal. And the U.S. earned bronze, 1,801 points behind the Japanese.

A replay of the men’s team final will air as part of the primetime replay on NBC at 8 p.m. Monday.
