Simone Biles is currently astonishing the sporting world with her impressive performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After putting in stunning displays at the qualifying rounds, the 27-year-old gymnast is now gunning to add to her Olympic medal tally in the upcoming finals. In the wake of her imminent success, fans have been wondering if Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, will join his partner’s side in the coming days.

Here are all the available details regarding Owens’ plans to attend his wife’s Olympic events.

Will Jonathan Owens join Simone Biles at Paris Olympics 2024?

Jonathan Owens will be present during several of Simone Biles’ fixtures in Paris, but not all.

Despite his newly-instated commitment to the Chicago Bears, Jonathan Owens will reportedly be seen cheering for Biles during her forthcoming match-ups. As reported by USA Today, the 4-time Olympic gold medalist confirmed the news herself, stating, “He’ll be there, yes. For just a short little time.”

Simone Biles will kick off her finals journey at the global sporting event on July 30 with the team final. Two days later, on August 1, she is heavily favored to reign supreme in the all-around final. The seasoned athlete will also represent the USA in the vault final, the uneven bars final, and the balance beam and floor exercise finals, scheduled to take place between August 3 to August 5.

Owens has already been cleared for vacation by the Bears for six days, starting from July 29 to August 3. As a result, he will miss Chicago’s first preseason game against his former side, the Houston Texans. The Bears’ coach, Matt Eberflus, supported his player’s decision to support Simone Biles by saying, “We respect the Olympics. He’s supporting the one he loves the most. I think that’s so cool that he gets to do that, we welcome that.”

However, while Owens will be there for Simone Biles in her first two finals, he is expected to miss the remaining three fixtures. Biles’ third event commences on the day her partner is required to report back to the Bears’ camp.
