    Cassidy announces $7.1M for Louisiana airports from infrastructure law

    U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La.,  announced U.S. Federal Aviation Administration will grant Louisiana a total of $7,141,716.00 to improve local airports from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

    “Airports are the gateway to a city, drawing in businesses, investors, and families,” Cassidy said. “This funding from the Infrastructure Law will support airport improvements throughout Louisiana to make our communities more attractive for opportunity.”

    As part of the funding, Chennault International Airport Authority will receive $630,000 to install new lighting on Taxiway G.

    Airport Authority District No. 1 of Calcasieu Parish will receive $1,720,000 to reconstruct the airport general aviation building access road and terminal access road.

    Beauregard Parish Airport District No. 1 will receive $70,812.00 to reseal runway pavement.
