A Persian Chinchilla cat put in the hard work at the "biscuit factory," and watching him hard at work is the perfect pick-me-up.

On July 24, 2024, TikTok user Kingston (@kingstonthekitten) shared a video of the sweet cat working hard, which was worth watching. Take a look!

In a quick 8-second video we meet up with Kingston who is busy at work and his face says it all.

"My hyping my cat up during his shift at the biscuit factory," the text on the screen reads as we see Kingston, a beautiful Persian Chinchilla cat who has beautiful teal-colored eyes.

Kingston is sitting on his mom, who is behind the camera. He's got a very serious face on while working hard at making biscuits, the term we use for cats who are kneading, usually something soft like a blanket.

The video is sped up, which makes it even cuter than normal speed because it looks like Kingston is working feverishly to make his quota so he can be done for the day.

The video's caption joked, "Working his life away." In the comments, people shared their initial thoughts and feelings after watching this sweet video.

One shared, "That is going to finish with a 24-hour sleep."

Another added, "My cat makes biscuits for like 2 seconds, then expects a 3-hour belly rub session in return."

Someone else shared, "Fighting for his life there."

    Another wrote, "Hard working."

One TikTok user commented, " My cat does this on my head, and it is so soothing."

And someone joked, "Caramel cookies, please & thank you, floofy ..."

What Are Cats Doing When They 'Make Biscuits'?

"Making biscuits" or "kneading" is something cats do when they push their front paws (or sometimes back paws) on something soft like your stomach, blanket, or pillow. Not all cats do it, and some do it more than others, but what are they doing exactly?

According to Oakhurst Vet , there isn't a universally understood reason why cats do this, but there are a few solid theories.

"The most popular theory as to why cats knead is that adult cats keep their kitten tendency to knead. In kittenhood, kneading stimulates the mother cat’s milk while nursing," the site explains. "The thought is that even though adult cats kneading a soft surface doesn’t yield milk, it still evokes the nurturing feelings of safety and comfort that nursing does."

If your cat kneads on you, then you might be "the chosen one" too. "Cats love their pet parents, and this is one way she tells you that. If your cat kneads on you, you can be assured that she’s showing you her undying affection," Oakhurst Vet adds.
