JEOPARDY! has unveiled the full schedule for its annual summer reruns which will tide fans over until the new season begins.

The game show is airing reruns from Monday, July 29, until Season 41 premieres on September 9, 2024.

With last Friday being the finale of Season 40, Jeopardy! is now on summer break.

There will be a six-week hiatus and then Season 41 premieres.

New episodes and returning champ Rachel Bradley, who won the last show, are back after that.

Jeopardy! let fans know exactly what games the producers selected on Instagram on Monday, the day reruns kick-off.

“Time to sit back and unwind Relive some of your favorite ToC + JIT moments all summer long,” the post was captioned, alongside a poster of some of the past season’s most familiar faces.

The reruns will all be from episodes of this past season (Season 40).

The first three weeks will be the 2024 Tournament of Champions (won by Yogesh Raut ). The last three will be the inaugural Invitational Tournament (won by Victoria Groce ).

    ‘DISAPPOINTED’

Fans took to Reddit where many were excited to relive some of the best games from the past year, but others didn’t like the announcement.

They pointed out the ToC isn’t being shown in total, as the reruns abruptly start on the fourth game (which the show copped to on the poster).

Additionally, some fans wanted to see the best games from the entire season, not just two specific tournaments again.

“They’re not rerunning the first 3 TOC games, which includes Cris Pannullo’s upset,” one fan wrote.

“They should have the last rerun week be users choice, for ones that get preempted, Like Black Friday and a few other,” lamented another.

“I wish they would replay really old episodes during this time,” argued a third.

“Disappointed that we didn’t get the Jared vs. Cris vs. Ben Goldstein quarterfinal game reaired. That was an amazing game,” wrote a fourth.

“Not more tournament episodes!!!!” raged a fifth. “The seemingly years long continuous run of tournaments that just ended a few months ago has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

“Yeah, that’s what I’m really looking forward to next season,” agreed a sixth. “Just a standard run through with lots of regular games and the occasional tournament. September-March of Season 40 was just very odd in a way.”

Other fans are already impatient: “Now, what are we going to do for the next six weeks?”

Season 41 will officially start on September 9, 2024, and run through July 2025.

    KEN’S MOVING MESSAGE

Rachel Bradley, who won her first game on the Season 40 finale with $23,597 total, will return to go for her second win.

Ken Jennings concluded Season 40 with a moving message, taking center stage after she won.

“I’m Ken Jennings, on behalf of all of us at Jeopardy! thanks for watching Season 40.

“We’ll be back on Monday with some of our best shows of the season and then we’ll see you in September!”

Ken’s closeout was a personal milestone because it was his first season finale as the show’s sole host after Mayim Bialik’s departure.

    NEXT TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

With the show now on summer break, eight players have qualified for the next Tournament of Champions in regular play.

The qualifiers are Isaac Hirsch (9 wins) Survivor alum Drew Basile (7 wins), Adriana Harmeyer (15 wins), Alison Betts (5 wins) and Dr. Amy Hummel (5 wins), and Celebrity Jeopardy!’s Lisa Ann Walter .

With four wins, Grant DeYoung and Amar Kakirde will also likely join in.

To ensure there are enough players for the next Tournament of Champions, it will be held midway through the season in early 2025, not the beginning of the new season.

This was also because Season 40 was a difficult one for the show, as regular episodes of new players only returned in April and took up a few months of the season.

That means when Season 41 premieres, there will be more regular-style games- not tournaments.

    Jeopardy! Host Timeline

Jeopardy! has had a tumultuous history regarding hosts after the death of the iconic Alex Trebek in 2020. Here are all of the hosts since the game show's inception in 1964.

Art Fleming – 1964 to 1975, he was the original host of the daytime version of Jeopardy! on NBC.

Alex Trebek – 1984 to 2020, the late, great Alex hosted Jeopardy!’s modern iteration for 36 years until his death from pancreatic cancer.

Guest hosts – 2020 to 2021, Jeopardy! tested out a series of guest hosts for week or two-week stints, including Anderson Cooper, LaVar Burton, and Aaron Rodgers.

Mike Richards – 2021, he was named host for one week before resigning amid controversy. He was the show’s executive producer at the time.

Mayim Bialik – 2021 to 2023, when Mike was announced as the show’s new host, Mayim was chosen to host tournaments and primetime specials.

Mayim and Ken Jennings – 2022 to 2023, 74-time champion Ken (the longest-winning contestant ever) joined Mayim as a guest host and they split hosting duties.

Ken Jennings – 2023 to present. Last December, Mayim announced on Instagram that she would “no longer” host Jeopardy! after a lengthy hiatus, having stood with the writer’s strike, and Ken was named sole host.

Ken now helms all editions of Jeopardy! including Celebrity Jeopardy!, the nightly show, and other primetime specials like Masters.

In other words, the next ToC will mix in players from Season 40 and the first half of Season 41 and be in the winter.
