Severe weather risks are shifting this week back to Plains and Midwest while the weather in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states couldn't be better to start off this holiday week. In the Northern Plains today we have severe thunderstorm and elevated tornado risks for the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota. The riska area shifts eastward Tuesday and Wednesday in the Middle and Upper Mississippi River Valley from Missouri and Kansas northward into parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. A dangerous drug that is being mixed into fentanyl is causing those who inject it to develop a rash of sores that resembles a case of flesh-eating bacteria. People experiencing homelessness around Denver can sometimes be seen with these bloody, weeping wounds.
