'Scary Movie' Actress Erica Ash Dead at 46

Actress Erica Ash has died at 46.

On Monday, July 29, Ash's close friend, Loni Love , confirmed the news via Instagram .

"Erica was talented and hilarious whether it was the show Survivor’s Remorse or Madtv she would put her all into her work," the Love wrote alongside a photo of her and Ash on The Real . "She would always just be there.. now she’s gone.. My sincere condolences to her family and fans 🙏🏾🙏🏾."

Ash was known for acting in films like Scary Movie V, We Have a Ghost and Outlaw Johnny Black . Additionally, she appeared in TV shows like Survivor's Remorse and Mad TV and more.

In the wake of Ash's untimely passing, her mother, Diann Ash , shared insight into the circumstances surrounding her death.

"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend Erica Chantal Ash (1977-2024)," Diann told TMZ . "After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loved ones."

The bereaved mom described Erica as an "amazing woman and talented entertainer," noting that she "touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine zest for life."

In honor of Erica, the family requested donations to either the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or the Breast Cancer Foundation.

"Her memory will live eternally in our hearts," Diann told the news outlet, later adding, "We are grateful for the kind expressions of love and support during this difficult time."
