Kevin Garnett 's strategy for unsettling his opponents extended beyond conventional trash-talking. Similar to old-school players like Dennis Rodman, 'The Big Ticket' was notorious for employing unconventional and often disturbing tactics to unsettle his opponents. This approach was recently highlighted by Deron Williams , who disclosed how KG would go as far as to taste the sweat of his opponent in an attempt to get inside their head.

Deron Williams on KG's wild story

During his appearance on the 'No Media' podcast, the 3-time All-Star recalled the great lengths that Garnett would go to to disrupt each of his opponent's rhythm.

"We were in Utah, and one of my teammates was on the free throw line," Williams said . "KG was pretty active that night, and they're lined up next to each other. He walked up to him and ripped the back of his neck, with a finger, tasted it, and said, 'Yeah, I knew you were sweet.'"

Williams expressed his astonishment at witnessing the 15-time All-Star engage in such extreme behavior. He emphatically stated that such disrespect to him would only see him get physical with the instigator.

"The level of disrespect, " Williams added. "To number one - touch somene's sweat and then really lick it off… that might be grounds for fighting, if someone did that to me."

    Garnett's trash-talking knew no bounds

One might assume that the 2004 MVP would target less prominent players, but this was not the case. Garnett's trash-talking was so relentless that he once yelled "Happy Mother's Day" to Tim Duncan while the five-time NBA Champ was at the free-throw line. Unfortunately, it was the furthest thing from a wish, as almost everyone in and around the NBA knew that Timmy's mother had passed away in 1990, a day before his birthday.

In another instance, Garnett tried to psychologically unsettle Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva by calling him a 'cancer patient.' No matter how severe or disturbing the insult, KG never hesitated to rattle his opponents.

Therefore, it appears safe to say that although Garnett did not intend to develop personal animosity with other players, he often acted impulsively without considering the potential consequences as long as it aided him in achieving his objectives.
