    ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ actress Erica Ash dead at 46: Loni Love, Bow Wow and more pay tribute

    Erica Ash, best known for her roles in “Survivor’s Remorse” and “MADtv,” has died at age 46 after a battle with cancer, according to BET .

    Comedian Loni Love confirmed Ash’s untimely passing in a touching tribute posted on Instagram Monday.

    “I am sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ashe’s passing,” she captioned the post, which included pics of the ladies together.

    Additional details surrounding Ash’s death have not been released to the public.

    However, after becoming a backup singer and a runway model following a trip to Japan, she decided to pursue an entertainment career.

    In 2006, Ash landed roles in the Broadway show “The Lion King” and the comedy show “The Big Gay Sketch Show.” Two years later, she joined the cast of “MADtv,” becoming the fifth Black female cast member in the show’s history.

    Ash also appeared in “Survivor’s Remorse,” “In Contempt,” “The Real Husbands of Hollywood” and more.

    Several other stars paid tribute to Ash after hearing the news Monday, including journalist Roland Martin, who took to Instagram to share sweet words about the late actress.

    “It saddens me to confirm that our beloved sister @TheEricaAsh is now an ancestor,” he wrote. “She was 46. Erica was an amazing talented, funny, and serious actress. I adored her. She was serious about politics and would have been one of @KamalaHarris biggest supporters. Pray for her family.”

    Several celebs also commented on BET’s post , including rapper Bow Wow, who wrote, “we did scary movie 5 together REST EASY QUEEN. damn.”

    Comedian Jay Pharoah added, “Man….RIP😥.”

    Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss commented, “😢,” while “P-Valley” actress Brandee Evans wrote, “😢😢😢😢Just heartbroken.”
