(KOAM) - Shoppers in four states are preparing for the upcoming tax-free weekend, offering significant savings on back-to-school essentials.

    Oklahoma

Oklahoma takes part in the Sales Tax Holiday from August 2-4, 2024. According to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, retailers are prohibited from charging state tax on items that are tax-exempt during the sales tax holiday weekend.

    Arkansas

Arkansas participates in the tax free weekend from August 3-4, 2024.

In Arkansas, “All retailers are required to participate and may not charge tax on items that are legally tax-exempt during the Sales Tax Holiday.” That’s according to the Arkansas Department of Financial and Administration website.
