Washington County has a 'fair' day

On the final day of the 2024 Washington County Fair, fair-goers showed out in force to take advantage of their final chance to enjoy the festivities Sunday, July 28.

Lines weaved around the fairgrounds as patient thrill-seekers waited to take a seat on the Zillerator, the Yo-Yo and a number of other gravity-defying rides. Meanwhile, families gathered at the mainstage to watch and dance as Edna Vasquez Mariachi performed.

Clutching corndogs, ice cream cones, plates of nachos, lemonades and all other manner of carnival confections, people milled about the exhibit hall and gawked at the snakes and lizards of Brad’s World of Reptiles.

Nearby, Radio Ready took over the Tap House stage with their renditions of songs by Lady Gaga, Journey and more.

And as the sun went down and the night lit up with colorful LEDs, it was clear that Washington County had a great time at the fair.
