Jesse Watters Repeatedly Interrupts Jessica Tarlov When She Mentions Surging Kamala Harris Poll Numbers

Jesse Watters sarcastically interrupted co-host Jessica Tarlov after the liberal noted that Vice President Kamala Harris has gained ground in the polls. Fox News surveys released last week show Harris tied with former President Donald Trump in several swing states.

Harris has enjoyed a surge since President Joe Biden announced last week that he would not seek reelection. The decision came amid an onslaught of pressure after he turned in a catastrophic debate performance against Trump. The ascension of Harris, 59, as the presumptive Democratic nominee, has upended the Trump campaign’s strategy of running against Biden’s age and cognitive shortcomings. Biden is 81, Trump is 78.

During Monday’s edition of The Five on Fox News, the co-hosts discussed the Democrats’ strategy of casting the Republican ticket as “weird” in a negative way, especially after Trump selected Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) as his vice presidential running mate. Vance has come under scrutiny for comments he made about “childless cat ladies” running the Democratic Party and for also saying parents should have additional votes at the ballot box for each child they have. The senator also seemed to suggest that by drinking Diet Mountain Dew, he ran the risk of being called “racist.”

For her part, Tarlov noted some of Trump’s stranger moments, prompting the following exchange in which Watters sarcastically said he’s “so nervous” about Harris:

TARLOV: You listen to these rallies where he’s talking about sharks getting electrocuted–

WATTERS: [INAUDIBLE]

TARLOV: No, you could say that. If you are not a die-hard Trump supporter, the “late great Hannibal Lecter” doesn’t resonate in the same way. The sharks, the weird stuff out batteries. Like, Donald Trump is not a normal human, and I guess it’s only Jesse that is normal in all of this.

DANA PERINO: Should we pull up the tapes of Kamala Harris and–

TARLOV: But you can play that game–

PERINO: I just think that–

WATTERS: You wanna talk batteries? I mean, you guys spent $10 trillion, you installed eight. That’s weird.

TARLOV: What I wanna talk about is that whatever the strategy is now, it is working. So, Kamala Harris is now running either tied or ahead in national polling, same in the swing states. Her favorability, not just up eight points it’s up 12 points–

WATTERS: Oh, she’s–

TARLOV: While Donald Trump has gone down five–

WATTERS: She’s the–

TARLOV: Don’t do it!

WATTERS: –next Obama. She’s gonna win. I’m so worried. I’m so nervous.

TARLOV: Democratic enthusiasm is up 26 points.

PERINO: Oh my gosh.

TARLOV: Why are you saying, “Oh my gosh”?

PERINO: Because, I’m like, we have to tease [the next segment].

WATTERS: She’s gonna win. Oh my God.

PERINO: Yeah, ’cause we have to tease.

WATTERS: Kamala Harris, the next Barack Obama. It’s a cultural phenomenon.

TARLOV: That’s not–

WATTERS: How do we stop her, Brian?
