    Strong storms sweep across Georgia. Check here for power outages and local radar

    Strong storms Monday across Georgia caused statewide power outages as heavy rain stretched from Chattanooga to Macon to Savannah.

    More than 70 counties in the state were impacted by power outages, with more than 2,000 affected in the counties of Clayton and Henry as of 6:30 p.m.

    Nearly 250 Georgia Power customers were impacted near Northwest Georgia, where a sever thunderstorm is in affect through 7:15 p.m. Rome, Cedartown and Adairsville are in a sever thunderstorm warning until 7:45 p.m.

    Cities south of Atlanta including Hampton, Griffin, Barnesville and Zebulon are in a severe thunderstorm warning until 7:30 p.m. while others south of Macon are also currently impacted by a strong line of storms.
